If the side effect from the law exceeds the side effect from the drug then there's a problem - not sure who originally said it but it's a good way to put things into perspective.
It looks like the best of OS X with a small bit of Vista flair with the "gadgets" on the side. It looks like a much more pleasant interface to deal with, that's for sure. I just hope they can improve the usability to match. That's the only thing I see holding back Linux.
*****. If Apple was against DRM-free music, they wouldn't have put EMI music up without it. The only reason the rest isn't doing the same is that the other labels really don't like Jobs and iTunes having enough clout to call the shots on the record companies. So they give Amazon and others DRM-free music while forbidding iTunes to do so in the hope that they can break the so-called monopoly.
