I can guarantee you that Kubrick would not have been happy with somebody "explaining" what happened. Whilst i agree, (paying for checking in a bag? what the hell?!) most people just see the ticket price and try to find the cheapest. websites that find flights and compare prices havent helped as they generally only tell you the price and the time of departure, leaving out all the potentially penny pinching extras.
