While it's nice that it's open source, DotNet feels more snappy than Java for me. My mum is one of these people. She is 76, and used to cycle until 2 years ago. She has just ordered a new pushbike with an electric 'help' engine. Good for 70 km (50 miles) but she is required to cycle just a little bit. It doesn't look stupid and she stays fit.
